I wanted to know why we were not etting the full $2000 credit for the Lifetime Learning Credit? Thanks

The LLC is 20% of the amount tuition and other qualified expenses. you claimed, but not more than $2000.

The LLC is a non refundable credit. That means it can only reduce your tax to zero. You do not get any excess "refunded" to you.
