I plugged in my 1098-T and now a line for "Scholarships and fellowship grants" is on my city tax form asking for an ID, but I paid out of a trust. How do I correct this?

On the form itself theres a line for an "Employer's name" that just says "Scholarship and fellowship grants" and it wants an ID number/address, but I specifically said "no" to the question regarding scholarships; I pay for school out-of-pocket with money from a family trust, so I just need to figure out how to file properly so I get the tax break for paying my own without it seeming to treat it like employment or money I earned?

To clarify, it sounds like the program is picking up Employer's Assistance.

Is there any W-2 with education assistance listed on it?

Did you enter that you received any additional aid not listed on your 1098-T?

You question needs  a lot of clarification.

What city are you filing a tax return for?  Most do not tax scholarships.

Most students, under 24 can't claim  an education credit.

Q. How do I correct this?

A. Try deleting the 1098-T and re-entering it.
