Hi! I paid my student loan in 2017. It's asking for 1098-E information. I no longer have this. What should I do? Won't let me file without putting something.

You probably have a blank Form 1098E that got transferred in from last year.

Try deleting the blank form - if you are using the online program: 

• Log into your account and click Take Me to My Return
• On the left-hand side of your screen, you should see an option for Tax Tools and a drop-down menu 
• Select Tools from the menu
• Click Delete a Form
• Scroll through the list of forms until you find the form 1098E
• Delete the form 

If you are using the desktop program, switch to the Forms Mode and click on the Form and remove the form
