Yes, you have the right idea to delete the education credit related forms.
All related education forms need to be deleted to fully remove it from your return.
I recommend double clicking on Open Forms and typing in Education to see if any forms related to education are left. Also included could be Form 1098-E and Form 1099-Q. When the worksheet or form is then opened, delete it there.
I would also save, close the program completely and wait a minute after deleting before re-opening.
Also, be sure your program is fully updated by checking for updates by going to Online or Help, depending on your level of TurboTax CD/Download, and clicking Check for Updates.
