Studying at an eligible school means you're able to qualify for all the deductions and credits available for students. Nearly all accredited public, nonprofit, and proprietary (privately owned profit-making) colleges, universities, vocational schools, or other postsecondary institutions are considered eligible schools. Please view the IRS Educational Institution Directory to see if your school is listed.
