Can I still e-file if I need to send documentation to show that my dependent's college education is a qualified medical expense for special education?

My child is going to a college dedicated for those who learn differently.

You cannot attach anything to an e-filed tax return. You can just e-file and explain it later should the IRS ever question it. (Even if mailed, most attachments unless specifically required on a form, are just filed away with the paper return and never entered into the IRS processing system - they simply get lost at the IRS.)
