American Opportunity Tax Credit Eligibility

I graduated with my bachelor's as an F1 student in 2020, could never claim the American Opportunity Tax credit since I was not eligible status.

Currently, I hold a green card and am taking classes pursuing a master's degree.  Could I claim the American Opportunity Tax credit?

American Opportunity Tax Credit Eligibility

No, per this excerpt from a TurboTax article on the matter, you will not qualify for the American opportunity Education credit if you have completed the first four years of post-secondary education:

You may qualify for a lifetime learning credit, however.
