What tax year do i file ?

Needing help determining what tax year to file on.  Mom passed 6/14/21 home was put in estate to be sold, home sold 1/24/22 do i file fiscal, calendar or short and what end month do I use?

I am sorry for your loss.

You can use a fiscal year which begins on the date of death and ends on the last day of the month (e.g, 5/31/22).
