You may qualify for a qualified business income (QBI) deduction even if you are considered a specified service trade business (SSTB). You may be entitled to at least a partial QBI deduction if your adjusted gross income is under $213,300 (single filer) or $426,000 (joint filer). That may be why TurboTax is saying you qualify for a QBI deduction even though you are a lawyer.
I'm not sure why you can't enter your business expenses, maybe you could be more descriptive as far at that is concerned.
