TurboTax form is having me enter a blank entry for both entries on a schedule C. When I need the second half of the year input. How do I fix this?

I did Doordash in the second half of the year. On the form, when allocating business miles, it's split in two halves for the year. I put in my miles for the second half. TurboTax doesn't like this and is forcing me to leave it blank. Stating the vehicle was put in service after 6/30/2022, (which is where I put my business miles in.)

I would delete the vehicle information, run Review, then re-enter the vehicle information.

Delete the vehicle information by clicking the Delete trashcan to the right of the vehicle at the screen Vehicle Summary.

Click Review down the left side of the screen and Continue through until all issues are resolved.

To re-enter the vehicle information, follow these steps:

  • Down the left side of the screen, click on Federal.
  • Across the top of the screen, click on Income & Expenses.
  • Scroll down to Self-employment.  Click Show more.
  • Click on Start / Revisit to the right of Self-employment income and expenses.
  • At the screen Your 2022 self-employed work summary, click Edit.
  • At the screen Here's you info, click Edit to the right of Vehicle.
  • At the screen Vehicle Summary, click Add an Asset to re-enter the vehicle information.
