Trips Deductions for Contractor Working while on Personal Trip

I am an independent 1099 IT contractor that usually works from home, and occasionally onsite at different locations.

If I take a trip for personal reasons, but plan to work and bill substantial amounts of time from the hotel is any of that trip or mileage tax deductible?

Also, does it make a difference if the trip is in the US or international?

No.

If the trip was primarily for personal reasons, you can only count any direct 'extra' costs that are specifically for business.  Other than that, no part of your personal trip is deductible.
