The program ignores my No response to Assets and my attempt to delete it for my business. how do I get past this?

Because of this, the program thinks I have not completed Schedule C and I cannot move forward

You may need to delete the asset entries that are not needed. You can do this as follows:

1. Tax Tools
2. Tools
3. Delete a form
4. Find the assets forms that you don't need and click the "delete" button to remove them
