Standard Mileage Not Allowed

We cannot choose the standard mileage if we operate 5 or more cars. For married filing jointly, does that mean between the two people we can have 10 cars?

Standard Mileage Not Allowed

There is no limit to the number of vehicle you own, the limit is how many vehicles you use for your business AT THE SAME TIME.

So if you were an Uber driver with 20 cars, but you only drove one at a time, you can use the standard mileage rate.

If you have 5 employees that all work at the same time and you supply their 5 vehicles, you cannot use the standard mileage rate.
