I have a question about my depreciation schedule. My previous year (2018) return shows a number in the basis column. But my 2019 return does not.

I have a question about my depreciation schedule. My previous year (2018) return shows a number in the basis column. But my 2019 return does not.

The basis is only displayed when items are added. The form includes how it is being depreciated, the date purchased, and class life. However, once it has been filed, showing all of the information, it is not necessary to repeat the information.

For the following years, it is lumped in with all the other assets that have been depreciated previously.

Full instructions and form are available here. Take a look at the form, line 17. All things ever placed in service using MACRS goes on that one line, excluding the current year.
