I got paid cash from people that didn't havetax id number

It's ok, you can still enter it as your business income. Don't enter the cash as income received on 1099 and you won't be asked for a tax id.

Here are the steps to enter your self-employment income that was only cash/checks or credit card payments:

Type Schedule C in the Search box (see pic) - you must be logged in and IN your tax return
Select the Jump to blue link

The link will take you to where you can enter any cash, personal checks or credit card payments (Form 1099-K) related to your self-employment. You may be asked some general questions about your business first. After you answer them, you’ll be taken to the Your Business screen where you can enter this income as Additional Income under Business Income.
