Hello! I have a single-member LLC business as a counselor; can I deduct my personal psychotherapy sessions as a business expense?
To deduct business expenses, they must be considered both ordinary and necessary:
The IRS definition of ordinary is common and accepted.
The IRS defines necessary as helpful and appropriate.
If your therapy expense meets both definitions, you can deduct it.
