Hello,
long story short, my CPA was trying to retro select my tax filing under S corp, and later I found out my federal S Corp selection is fail, but state was successful. and now I have question, how should I return my tax, I just did my tax return under single member LLC, so I only need to do schedule C, but for my state return, since it is under S corp, do I need to do CBT 100s?? can I NOT do that form ? since my federal is not has been selected as S corp, I don't want to do state as S corp.. advise please. s C

I strongly suggest that you contact the appropriate NJ division (contact information available at the link below) for further guidance.

Your situation may be resolved by doing something as simple as cancelling, withdrawing, or closing the business online (link below), but you should contact the responsible NJ division to make sure you are following the correct procedure.

My company is an S corp for federal, BUT a C corp for NJ in 2018. When I select state return it ONLY gives me S corp option -- although the very 1st time I signed in to Turbo tax it mentioned that this could happen as you have register as a S corp with NJ
