With my wifes income being 15,000 do i need to file her w2 ? or can i just put her as a dependent?

A wife is never a dependent for tax purposes... You may be crossing dependent vs. exemption. You always must file your return including all income. Your 2 options are married filing jointly or married filing seperately. Most benefits are married filing jointly.
