Why is my NY refund delayed for 4 weeks now?

Has your return been ACCEPTED? If yes, there are numerous delays in NY this year.Several states have informed taxpayers that their state-level tax refunds may be delayed this tax season for a variety of reasons including numerous changes to their forms and tax changes.

Steps to Check Status:

Sign in to TurboTax: Your status is displayed on the Tax Home screen (e.g., Pending, Accepted, or Rejected).
- Check Email: Look for a second email from TurboTax (the first confirms submission, the second confirms acceptance.
- "Accepted" means the IRS received your return and it passed basic formatting checks.
- - If it says "Pending," it is still in the process of being sent to or accepted by the taxing authority
  - If it says "Ready to Mail" or "Printed," you must mail it yourself, as TurboTax does not mail returns.
