Why is my return still being processed my 2024 return it's been received and still in processing

Did you file the 2024 return last year or recently?  If you only filed that 2024 return in the last month or so, that would not be unusual for it to still be processing.   However, if you filed the 2024 return last year, then that would be unusual.

If the IRS "Where's My Refund" tracking tool https://www.irs.gov/refunds says the 2024 return is still being processed, you will have to phone the IRS to get any more information on it.

If you filed the 2024 return several months ago, and it's still being processed, try phoning the IRS first.  If you don't get good info or results that way, you might consider contacting the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service to see if they will help you.   They often say they only help if there is an economic hardship, but they will also help if one if having trouble getting information and results at the IRS.   Every state has at least one IRS Taxpayer Advocate office you can phone.  There is also a national number.
