Shouldn't this software transfer the income we entered on our 1099Rs to our state tax return?

Both the Ohio 1040 and the MN M1 start with the Federal Adjusted Gross Income so it is already included on the state return.
When
you enter the 1099R in the Federal section it was ask you about the
state following the 1099R entry. Then when you go through the state
returns many have exemptions for some retirements and the TurboTax
program will ask you the questions.
