I need to file an amendment to my 2022 tax. After I create the amendment file by importing my 2022 filed tax return, it already shows a $44 dollar refund. Why?
In form 1040-X, line1 for adjusted gross income, it show the original amount is higher than the correct amount. The correct amount is what I have in my original tax filing. There is also a difference in my qualified business income deduction. However, I have not done a thing and it already shows a difference. I am afraid it is an error by turbotax.
There is no further instruction or form to show me how the original amount amount was calculated.
Should I be concern or just go with what turbo tax is doing?
Thanks in advance.

Yours is a common complaint that is not explained on this forum.
Don't file a 1040-X that shows incorrect amounts.
Do you know how to fix this initial discrepancy? Or workaround. I want to get it to start out at $0 and then add the changes for the tax amendment.
I found out where is the slightly changed AGI coming from. The value comes from the previously saved tax return file. On the day of my e-filing, I made a last minute change and then save to a differnent file. Then I e-file my return.
Now, I want to do amendment on my latest saved turbotax file, it shows the AGI from the previous file version save. That should be wrong. How can I fix this in the 1040X?
