When checking return status the IRS requested me to verify my identity. However I can’t do this as I didn’t receive anything in letter form to do so. What to do now?

Only thing I could do was create ID.me account. I have no letter so I’m confused.

Since you've created an ID.me account and you still can't verify your identity, you'll need to complete your verification on a video call with an ID.me Video Chat Agent.
