Unable to unamend NY state return

I wanted to unamend a tax return . I went into forms and found the 1040X and was able to delete by clicking delete form. However for the NY amended return when I click delete form, the forms remain. Any suggestions?

Every year I help my daughter prepare her tax return. This is the first year that I have used the online service. I have been unable to start a return for her.
