Yes, if you are working in TurboTax Online, sometimes your browser just signs you in, and it takes you back to the beginning as if you never started your return.
If this happens to you in TurboTax Online, sign out. This will bring you back to where you sign in. If it shows you more than one user name, select the user name you are using this year and sign in again.
If this doesn't solve the problem, you can recover the account that has your tax return in it:
- To recover your account, start here.
- Enter your email address and then enter the verification code. The next screen will show you every account name connected to your email and the date you last used it.
- Pick the one that seems most likely to be the one you used this year. You will have to verify it again and will be prompted to change your password.
- You can repeat this as many times as needed to find the account you used.
