TurboTax 2023 hangs while trying to print. How do I correct?

The suggested solutions don't work, although I was able to print individual forms by connecting directly to my HP multifunction. I was also able to efile the taxes and print the city return in TurboTax.

However, when I try to Save the return file as a pdf, TurboTax hangs and does not invoke the usual print menu (which would allow me to save the print as a pdf).

I suppose I could do a direct connect, print individual files, and then scan them to pdf, but that doesn't address the root issue, does it?

TurboTax 2023 hangs while trying to print. How do I correct?

You can normally print to PDF from Forms mode at any time by going to the top menu bar and selecting File, then Print, and selecting your print range.

You could try exiting the program and restarting, or rebooting your device.

See this Apple discussion thread for other suggestions.

A Mac user in this Apple support forum found that a print problem was due to a font issue but didn't remember the specific fix.

An Intuit rep on the QB forum recommended this fix for print problems:

To print..., you must change... to Airy New. Here's how to change custom form styles (in Acrobat):

  1. Go to Settings and then select Custom form styles.
  2. Select New style.
  3. Click the edit dropdown.
  4. Choose the Change up the template.
  5. Choose Airy New.
  6. Hit Done.

I'm glad you were able to e-file. If you are still having trouble, sethis help article for instructions to contact TurboTax Support.
