Tools menu not available - all I see on the left hand side is a red check inside a circle, then the turbotax icon, "tax home" and "documents". Where do I find the tools?

That means your return is not open.   Once you log in, you first have to open up the return to have a full menu in the left column including Tax Tools.    What are you needing to do with tools?
