Tax return not received through direct deposit

Hi

I was supposed to receive my tax return but I still haven’t and it’s been more than 21 days!!

The IRS has accepted my tax return

I called the IRS and they told me that since I used  Turbo Tax and I confirmed them to directly deposit into my account

They were supposed to deduct whatever amount that I owe to Turbo Tax and should’ve probably sent me the rest of my tax by now

Unfortunately, they haven’t

help me out here

21 days is just a common estimate.  Some returns are processed faster, some slower.

Does the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool (or your conversation with the IRS) confirm that the direct deposit has actually been sent?

https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund

If it's confirmed to actually have been sent, the IRS says to allow up to 5 days due to variations in different bank procedures.   But it can sometimes take longer if you used the following payment option.

NOTE:  If you paid your TurboTax fees upfront by credit/debit card, then the following will not apply to you.

If you chose to pay the TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund,  then the IRS sends the funds to a third-party company whose bank deducts the fees, then sends the rest on to your bank account (or card) in a second direct deposit.  The company that handles that is SBTPG (Santa Barbara Tax Products Group).    If you used that payment method, and if the IRS has released your refund, you can check on at SBTPG's website using their refund lookup tool.

To log in, choose the "For taxpayers" portal then choose "Check with TPG."

SBTPG has a phone contact page at the following link. It also shows their business hours.  Even when they are closed, you may be able to get automated info, or you can log in as above.
