Should I try to resubmit my taxes if they are still pending after 4 days?

No, you can't re-submit your taxes if they are pending. You have to allow the return to be accepted or rejected before taking another action. 

You probably think that you will be charged a penalty for filing late, but if you submitted your return for e-file before April 15, it's filed on time even if it gets rejected. 

You have to follow up in the case of a rejection and either correct and re-file the return or print and mail it within five days, but it's not a late filing. 

Even if you haven't received an email about your return, you can sign in to your TurboTax account and check on the status. The status shows on the first page after you sign in.

Your tax return status does not show on the first page when you log in to your IRS account.

You have to use "Where's My Refund" tool.
