Rejected After E-file and 10/31 deadline lapsed

Hello,

I am latest ever filing my taxes due to some personal things that happened this year. I finally completed them this evening via e-file but they were rejected- unfortunately I expected this due to a known issue whenever I e-file due to a birthdate discrepancy that suddenly became a problem in 2020 out of nowhere after years of e-filing without issue.
My question is, if this is the only error, can I simply MAIL in my downloaded return from doing it all online , or do I need to now purchase desktop software and re-submit it all to print and then mail? The latter doesn't make any sense to me. However I want to ensure I retain all the max protections I normally have each year with Turbo tax and requested again this year as I filed (audit protection, expert assistance etc). Any assistance is much appreciated- I'd love to get this in the mail and off of my mind after many months of worrying.
