Got my refund before the irs completed the amended return.

So I filed my amended return. It was received August 2nd, and today it says there was an adjustment made. Today I also got my refund check in the mail. How come I got my refund before the status was completed. 

How is did this happen? Does this mean they are done?

Don't worry too much about the Where's My Amended Return? tool as it is not always up to date or correct ... so if you mailed in the amended return and they sent you the expected refund then all is good.
