Ohio form SD100 will not accept my residency dates

I lived in North Carolina from 1/1/25-10/31/2025.  I moved on 10/31/2025 and moved into my apartment on 11/1/2025.  Turbotax desktop refuses to accept the end date of 12/31/2025 as it says I have not accounted for the full 365 days. but It only puts in my Ohio residency and does not fill out my North Carolina residency. and keeps getting hung up on 12/31/2025 saying I need to correct the end date.  I have tried inputting 9999 for a non resident school district and starting and ending dates of 1/1/2025 and 10/31/2025 for North Carolina, and then my Ohio school district with starting and ending dates of 11/1/2025 and 12/31/2025, but the software keeps repeating a doom loop of rejecting those dates and asking me to correct them.  What can I do to fix this?

Ohio form SD100 will not accept my residency dates

Did you enter in the Personal info section of TurboTax your residency information for 2025?  On the screen titled "Your info" it will have information about where you lived in 2025 - your state of Residence should be Ohio and you would also check Yes for "[name] lived in another state in 2025".  Enter the state and the date you became a resident of Ohio in 2025.

Once you enter that information, it may be best to delete the Ohio return and start over.  In the Online version, you can click on Your State Returns on the left side menu, then click the trashcan icon for Ohio, then add Ohio back using the +Add a State button.  When you go through the Interview in Ohio, you can work on the school taxes, with a school district of 9999 for your time in NC, and the 4 digit school district number for your Ohio residence.  You can edit those and make sure that the dates you enter match up with the dates you had entered in the personal info section of TurboTax.  You will also need to split your income between NC and OH to get the correct entry for the Income for the tax base of the school district.  The Ohio Gross Income that will be listed there will be you entire income for the year - you will need to split that income to determine the 2 months' worth of income that you received while in Ohio.
