Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

My taxes were accepted by the IRS on 2/7/24 but I have not received them or a notice. What number can I call to find out what’s going on with my taxes?

Taxes processed through turbo tax and submitted for processing. The taxes were accepted but irs.gov is saying it’s being reviewed that was 2/7/24. It’s now 3/25/24. I have not received a notice to amend or anything.

Is there any additional message at the IRS WMR site currently?

Do you have an online IRS account?  If so, when logged in, there is a tab in the account for notices/letters.  If you have such an account, you could look there to see if one has been generated.

Here's how to phone the IRS to speak to an agent.   The steps may be somewhat different this year in 2024, but the principle is the same.  Don't select anything about "refund" and don't enter SSN, or you'll likely get a recording.

IRS:  800-829-1040 (7AM-7 PM local time) Monday-Friday

When calling the IRS do not select any choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.

  • First choose your language.  Then listen to each menu completely before making the selection.
  • When asked, press 2 for "personal income tax".
  • When asked, press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
  • When asked, press 3 "for all other questions."
  • Then again when asked,  press 2 "for all other questions."
  • It may then ask for your SSN, but do not enter it.  Just wait.   If it asks for SSN a second time, still do not enter it.
  • Then it will get "tired", and you'll get another menu.  Choose 2 for "personal".
  • Then in the next menu choose 4 for "all other inquiries", and it should transfer you to an agent but expect a long wait.
  • I usually use a speakerphone so I can work on something else while waiting.
