It depends on if you can e-file your extension. If you can e-file and you don't owe any taxes, or you pay online, you don't have to print an extension. 

You can file an extension through your TurboTax account, or Easy Extension here. To file it through your TurboTax account:

1. Sign in to your TurboTax account.
2. Select Other Tax Situations.
3. Select Other Tax Forms.
4. Select Start to the right of File an Extension.
5. Select Start Easy Extension.
6. Complete all the questions and either e-file, or print your extension for mailing.
