My original refund was $538. I amended and now the balance is $0. The only documents I can print have the $0 refund on it. If I mail them will I still get 538 back?

Yes. Original returns and refunds are process separately from the amended returns and refunds. If you are due a refund for your original return and are due nothing on the amended return the IRS will process the refund normally.
