My boyfriend added our daughter to his return and sent it in. he already received his return and filed an ammendment to fix it. my returns keep getting rejected even after he has made the ammendment.
my question is, can i still file for an extension after the deadline date?

No, you can't file for an extension after the deadline date. Your best course is to print and mail in your return. It may take a while for the IRS computer to make the changes so that you can claim your daughter as a dependent on an e-filed return.
