IRS says my tax return has not been processed

Turbotax states that my tax return was accepted in April. Today is 7/2/2019 and the IRS site states my 2018 tax return has not been processed.

'Accepted' = Accepted FOR processing. No guarantees of how long that might take to complete. IRS needs to validate all claims made, and compare to other things they have reported in your name.

If you're referring to the "Where's My Refund" tool, what is the exact terminology at the IRS website?

It doesn't use the phrase " has not been processed."     Does it say your return is still being processed?    Or does it not find your information?

If it says it's still being processed, we can tell you how to phone the IRS to inquire on it.  And if you don't get good info from the IRS, or continued delays, how to contact the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service for possible assistance.
