Did you efile, and then receive a confirmation email from TT?
How was it filed? Did you efile the return, or did you choose to print and mail it? If you chose to print and mail it, TurboTax does not do that for you; you would have to mail it yourself if you chose that option.
If you used Online TurboTax, what does it show for the return status when you log in and go to the Tax Home page? Does it say accepted, rejected, printed, ready to mail, or what?
"IRS has no record..."
Are you referring to the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool, or did you speak to a live IRS customer service agent?
If the efiled return was accepted, here are some tips on using the IRS WMR tool.
You can also try phoning the IRS refund hotline. I've seen it work for some users when the WMR tool didn't. 800-829-1954
If you need to speak to the IRS, they are not easy to reach. I have found that for me it was best to call just before closing time--about 6:55 PM and quickly go through the steps below. I figured a lot of folks would not call that close to closing, and that if I was one of the last to get into the queue, they would finish off all the people who were in the queue at closing time. I still had to wait about 25 minutes.
IRS: 800-829-1040 (7AM-7 PM local time) Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do not choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
