In the preview of 1040 Schedule 1 Part 1 item 1, TT shows 278 while the real state refund was 382. I cannot find where it is getting this number. help???

If part of the state refund includes state credits, they are not included as the state refunds.

Thanks. Actually just figured it out.

I needed to fill out the "State and Local Income Tax Refund Worksheet" for Sched 1, Line 1 in order to get the same answer that TT gets. Once I went thru that exercise, it matched.
