I need to add my wifes income to my return. How do I?

Assuming she is a sole proprietor, she will complete Schedule C.  Follow the instructions below to report her income and expenses.  

 

  1. Open your return 
  2. Search for Schedule C
  3. Select the Jump to link at the top of the search results
  4. Answer Yes on the Did you have any self-employment income or expenses? screen
  5. Answer the questions on the following screens until you arrive at Let's enter the income for your work
  6. Select Other self-employed income and select Continue
  7. On the next page enter any income received
