I'm on line now to complete my taxes some how I missed where I was suppose to add my SS and SSI income. How do I fix that now so I'm able to E file

That is Exactly what I'm trying to ask how do I add on my Social Security income

Yes, we can help you enter your Social Security.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments aren't taxed, and are not required on your tax return.

To post your Social Security, please follow these steps.

Log into TurboTax

  1. Under Federal
  2. Select Wages & Income
  3. Scroll to and select Retirement Plans and Social Security1099-R, IRAs, 401(k), early withdrawals
  4. On the drop down select: Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099)
  5. Now click Start or Edit or Add another 1099-R
  6. The screen will show Did you receive Social Security or Railroad Retirement benefits in 2023?
  7. Answer Yes
  8. Continue the interview.

Please contact us again with any additional questions.
