I called and did not need to do any verification the guy I spoke to said that since I have EIC AND CHILD TAX CREDIT they did not actually started working those after the 15th, that was the weekend and then Presidents day came on the 18th so if you really think about it they actually started working on them on the 19th. So it's been about four days since they started on those with credits. Also, he said to check on 02/27 and it should be an update if there was not one to call back after that day. thought I'd share it with y'all.

So.. my turn... my federal refund was accepted by the IRS on Jan 23rd. I talked to three people there this week . One said all looked ok and I have to wait due to the EIC and child tax credit . Tonight I talked to TWO reps who both told me that they can't see anything with my return and it says "system error " And I have to wait 8 weeks from Feb 4th. I literally hung up and started to cry . I hate all of this . I am a single mother in California. And I'm struggling . And it's not right.

@mommyxthree1976 I feel your pain. Made me get emotional just reading your response. Don't worry yet. When did you speak to the first rep? They just started processing returns with the children credit. Wait until Monday morning and call again.

I spoke to the first one either Tuesday or Wednesday. It's just frustrating. My ex owes 8k in child support arrears. He doesn't file taxes so ill never see that either . I try to stay patient but... eh.. you know .

@iliana1028 i'm sure yours will update Monday. @morris_williams of it says being sent Wednesday how long it normally take to clear in bank? I usually don't do direct deposit usually get a check.
