I just filed an extension and there seems to be a typo. How do I resubmit with corrected numbers?

You can't make any changes once it is transmitted and accepted.   Unless the error is with the amount you are paying, it won't have any impact.  Nothing to worry about.

Unfortunately it picked up a decimal wrong, so the total amount to pay is incorrect. I need to correct the numbers.

If you specified Direct Debit there may be nothing you can do.

OTHERWISE,

Pay the intended amount on IRS make a payment page.

select EXTENSION 2023.

make a note to check for the correct amount next year.

NOTE: Extension payments on IRS site will turn off soon if not tomorrow.
