I have filed my taxes, but they have been pending for well over 48 hours now. Is there any way to confirm that they have been sent to the IRS?

I filed on 4/13, but my status is still pending. I know the IRS might be delayed processing it after receiving it, but I want to make sure the return made it to them in the first place.
