I did NOT receive all my refund!!!!!?

I got my tax refund BUT I only got $2,112 it’s supposed to be $5,915! My account transcript shows only the refund code and nothing about anything extra being taken out for anything! What gives?!?

Have you tried calling the treasury offset line?

If not its [phone number removed], and make sure to check options 1 and 2.

I did not realize I couldn't post the phone number, but it is easily searchable.

if your account transcript shows the $5K as a refund then there was an offset.

For non-IRS debts, you can contact the Bureau of the Fiscal Service (BFS) directly at (800) 304-3107 to find out if there is a pending offset of your refund and for how much. In addition, you will get an explanatory letter from the BFS if your refund is offset.
