How did my state income got larger than federal? State information came from the information provided in federal return.

Sometimes there are items of income that aren't taxable on your federal return, but are taxable on your state return.  Some states also have subtractions from the federal numbers.  Policies will vary from state to state.

What state return are you seeing this on?  What items are being taxed differently than on your federal return?
