How can I fix an incorrect calculation in my Massachusetts return?

line 14 states the amount I paid for rent, which needs to be divided by 2. The computer does this automatically, but it seems to have gotten the wrong number - is it supposed to round down? I can't find anywhere to edit/contest this

How can I fix an incorrect calculation in my Massachusetts return?

You may be up against a limit.  The deduction is limited.  TurboTax will properly compute the amount of rent that is deductible on your Massachusetts state tax return.  This amount should flow properly to your state tax return.

The Massachusetts deduction for rent is limited to 50% of the rent paid and can not exceed a total deduction of $4,000.

If more than one person rented a unit together, then each person using it as their principal residence can take a deduction based on the amount of rent that each person paid.
