How can I change my federal Tax return if I amended it

I wanted to change my Tax return from File to Mail to E-File but I pushed Amend my return, I'm not sure what to do now please I'm confused this is my first time doing taxes

If you already filed your returns, you are not able to change the way you want to file them. If you haven't filed your returns yet, you can log back into your return and go under the File tab and update the information there.

Will they have to file an extension?

If the returns have already been filed you do not file an extension

Im sorry for all the questions, so if I already filed the return then what is the purpose of mailing or choosing to having it E-File? I'm a bit confused when the Board says to have it mailed before the deadline

Will there not be a penalty for mailing the return late? The Return is filed on time however, since today is the deadline and the return will not be mailed till tomorrow will there be a penalty for not sending it on time?
