Have you found the math via Turbo Tax to be wrong sometimes?

My taxable income is showing $116,302 and blended Tax Rate: 18.3% which equals $21, 283. They are getting $21, 312. This is incorrect, right? Am i nuts?

It's just a rounding difference. The tax is not calculated using the blended tax rate. It's the other way around. The blended tax rate is calculated from your taxable income and your tax. Your tax of $21,312 is 18.3% (rounded) of your $116,302 taxable income. The actual tax calculation is much more complicated. It's not just multiplying your taxable income by a single tax rate.

The blended tax rate does not appear anywhere in your tax return, and it's not used to calculate your tax. It's just something that TurboTax uses to show you a rough idea of the overall percentage of your income that you are paying in tax.

the blended tax rate is not used to calculate your taxes and is probably a rounded number. 18.3247% and 18.2998% are both 18.3% when rounded to 3 decimal places. There are multiple methods to compute your income taxes . not sure that there is even a blended tax rate computed
