Filed, amended, direct debit is set to no

Will IRS use direct debit to withdraw funds - PART-V of Federal Information Worksheet has

  • Do you want to elect direct deposit of any federal tax refund? - YES is selected
  • Do you want to elect direct debit of federal balance due (Electronic filing only)? - NO is selected
  • Enter the following information only if you are requesting direct debit of balance due: 4/14/2016

I filed my taxes and provided my bank account details to draw funds for the balance due.

When I amended my taxes, I provided my bank account details for refund credit.

  1. Will IRS use direct debit to withdraw funds?
  2. I can only see the amended worksheet - how do I find the original Federal Information Worksheet?

You can try to view your files by going to
Tax Home > Scroll down to Tax Returns and docs > How can I access my return after I've e-filed or printed it?
You can also try: Tax Tools > Print Center > How do I get a PDF of my return?

If you're unsure about what the IRS has for your debit/deposit information, try creating an account and managing it through the IRS site: https://www.irs.gov/your-account

@GabiU - Tool Center Docs shows the amended one. The direct debit set to No but Due Date is confusing.

IRS website doesn't have any info as the return has been accepted but not processed. No schedule due date either.

Any other ideas? Is there a way to get worksheets for the original return?

Thanks!

If it's not presented under Tax Returns and docs or Print Center, the only other thing I could think of is to get an IRS Transcript which will take time. You may need to wait and keep an eye on it due to the deadline being so close, volume will be high right now. If Debit was selected No on your amendment, the IRS will most likely honor that. Log into the IRS site or your state site to manage future payment if needed.
